The Australian women's cricket team bounced back in the second One-Day International (ODI) of the Rose Bowl series to record a four-wicket win over New Zealand Friday.
Australia won the toss and sent the White Ferns in to bat first. Suzie Bates (59) and Amy Satterthwaite (109) again proved troublesome for the home side, finding the boundary on numerous occasions.
Sara McGlashan (51) also added a half century to take her side's total to 288/6 after their 50 overs. Sarah Coyte (2/55) was the only multiple wicket-taker for the Australian side.
Australia opener Meg Lanning (72) backed up her impressive performance in the first ODI with her innings including nine fours and two sixes.
Fellow opener Rachael Haynes was equally impressive, notching 70 runs, which included six fours and two sixes. Coyte (51*) came in at number seven and helped her side surpass the set target, finishing 289/6 in the 46th over.
