Tourist resort Shimla gets seasons first snowfall
Tourist resort Shimla received season's first snowfall as it was covered by eight to ten cm blanket of snow.
Other tourist resorts like Kufri and Narkanda, Chail and tourist resort Kasauli in Solan district also got first spell of snowfall.
The high reaches of Himachal Pradesh was experiencing moderate to heavy snowfall and most of part of it was cut off from the rest of nations disrupting the life without power, water supply, and snapping of road and telephone communications.
Tourist resorts Kufri, Fagu, Narkanda, Chail and Kasouli in Solan district got snowfall overnight.
Kufri and Narkanda reported 20 and 25 cm snowfall, snapping the road communications on India-Tibet National Highway 22. Water, power and telephone serves was affected in the area after snowfall.
There were reports of snow storm in the high reaches where moderate to heavy snowfall forced people to remain in home without power in most places.
Wind and snow were experienced in the entire tribal belt and there were reports of rain or cold wind storm in down stream areas of the hill state.
