The Karnataka unit of the BJP has sent a detailed report to the central leadership on action to be initiated against the legislators who attended the December 9 rally of former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa at Haveri.
Talking to newspersons here, Party State President and Deputy Chief Minister K S Eswarappa said the core committee held a detailed discussion on the issue and decided to leave the matter to the central leadership.
Some of the legislators had clarified that they had to attend the rally because of the pressure from some followers of Mr Mr Yeddyurappa.
He reiterated that 'Mahajan Report' was the final with regard to Karnataka and Maharastra border dispute. He alleged that leaders of the Maharashtra Ekikara Samiti (MES) are unnecessarily raising the issue regarding Belgaum should include in Maharastra state. But that is 'impossible', he remarked..
Pertaining to the allegation made against him by Nagalakshmi and Advocate Vinod Kumar towards illegal assets allegedly accumulated by him, Eshwarappa said this was known to him only three years ago. He welcomed the registration of cases against him and said he has fullfaith in the 'judiciary'.
He condemned the boycott of the recent assembly session by opposition leaders alleging that it was for no reason.
