England opt to bat against India

England captain Alastair Cook won the toss and opted to bat against India in the third and the final cricket Test at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Jamtha, here Thursday.

India have included three spinners, Ravichandran Ashwin, Pragyan Ojha and Piyush Chawla while Ishant Sharma will be the only pacer. Saurashtra batsman Ravinder Jadeja, also a left-arm spinner, will be making his Test debut.

England have included Tim Bresnan in place of injured Steve Finn, while debutant Joe Root comes in place of Samit Patel.
