The Bengal Hockey Association (BHA) is set to confer the Lifetime Achievement to three times Olympics gold medalist winner Leslie Claudius on Friday.

Eighty-five-old Leslie Walter Claudius won three consecutive Olympic gold medals from 1948 (London), Helsinki in 1952 and Melbourne in 1956 and silver in Rome in 1960 with India's winning member in the field hockey.

The BHA would confer the honour to the hockey legend at his residence at Mcleod Street.

Padma Shri Claudius, in the Guinness Book of World Records along with Udham Singh for having won the maximum number of Olympic medals in field hockey, has been ailing for his age related problems.
