SFI to organise Parliament March
Students Federation of India (SFI) will organise Parliament March on March 6, 2013, to protest against the education policy of the Union Government.
Addressing a news conference here today, SFI National President V Sivadasan said, The education policies of the Central government were completely wrong and had made, education accessible to only the wealthy people of the country.
The SFI alleged that the government was planning to open the educational sector for foreign investment.
Mr Sivadasan demanded that the government devote at least six per cent of the GDP for education.
He alleged that the Congress-led UDF government in Kerala was following the same path of the Central government and they were denying universities all their democratic rights.
SFI said thousands of students from different parts of the country will participate in the Parliament March.
