The international crude oil price for Indian Basket as computed/published on Tuesday by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went up to USUSD 105.73/barrel (bbl) on Dec 10 from to USUSD 105.44/bbl on the previous trading day's figures of Dec 7. In rupee terms also, the crude oil price increased to Rs 5745.37/bbl on Dec 10 from Rs 5714.85/bbl on Dec 7.
This was due to price increase in dollar terms and rupee depreciation.
Rupee dollar-exchange rate on Dec 10 was Rs 54.34/USUSD against Rs 54.20/USUSD on previous trading day of Dec 7.
