Cong has emerged stronger after victory over FDI: Tharoor

Minister of State for Human Resource Development Shasi Tharoor today said that the Congress and the UPA government have gathered more strength after victory in Parliament over allowing Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in retail sector.

Addressing a gathering, organised by District Congress Committee (DCC) office as a reception to Union Minister, Mr Tharoor said the UPA government's aim was to help the common people of the country.

He said the UPA government had plans to launch two projects at Malabar, an IIT at Malabar and a new central school at Kozhikode.

DCC President K C Abu presided over the function.
