Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has given an assurance to the family members of Nizam that he would extend all possible help in protecting properties of the ruler of erstwhile Hyderabad state.
Nawab Najaf Ali khan, grandson of seventh Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan, said Azad gave the assurance when he called on him in New Delhi last week.
According to Khan, president of Nizam Family Welfare Association, the properties are in various parts of the country.
"There are several properties all over India, especially in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Maharashtra belonging to Nizam VII Sir Mir Osman Ali Khan," Khan said.
"The properties were acquired by the state governments and till now no compensation has been paid to the family members," Khan said in a statement.
