India squad for Nagpur Test picked
Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh have been dropped as the All-India Senior Selection Committee met in Kolkata Sunday to pick the Indian team for the fourth and final Test against England, to be played at Nagpur from Dec 13. Leg spinner Piyush Chawla, Delhi-pacer Parwinder Awana and Saurashtra batsman Ravindra Jadeja have made way to the squad.
MS Dhoni will lead the team.
England beat India by seven wickets at the Eden Gardens Sunday and took a 2-1 lead in the four-match Test series.
The loss prompted the selectors to axe players like Yuvraj, Zaheer as well as Harbhajan who did not play the last match.
The selection committee also picked the T20 International Series against England, to be played at Pune and Mumbai on Dec 20 and 22.
Virender Sehwag and Zaheer Khan were unavailable for the AIRTEL T20 International series against England, and were therefore not considered for the same.
