Joint action needed to address developmental issues: Karthikeyan

Kerala Assembly Speaker G Karthikeyan today stressed the need for a joint action of all departments to address developmental issues of the state.
He was addressing a concluding session of the three-day Infrastructure Conference-2012 here.
Mr Karthikeyan said infrastructure developments should be connected with the needs of people, adding all developmental activities should be implemented in a time bound manner.
The development should be completed with the participation of all sectors of society, the Speaker said.
A solution to all social issues, including waste management, should be found through infrastructure development, he added.
Union Minister of State Public Distribution K V Thomas, who presided over the function, suggested that the state should go ahead with various developmental activities, including national highway development.
