Kerala: Six-year-old abused by father

Police are looking for a 40-year-old man from Kurumpady in Kerala's Ernakulam district who is accused to have sexually abused his six-year-old daughter after forcing her to drink alcohol for six months.
The police have registered a case against the man under Protection of Children against Sexual Offences Act and section 328 of IPC (giving liquor to a minor) following a complaint by the girl's mother.
The crime came to light after the child was taken to a psychiatrist at a hospital in nearby Aluva when she showed some behavioural problems.
The incident comes close on the heels of two similar instances from Kottayam and Kannur districts, local media reports said.
