Telugu Desam Party Rajya Sabha MP T Devender Goud has expressed anguish at the charges cast on him that he had deliberately abstained from the voting on FDI.
Talking to the media here today, he said it was due to ill-health that he had abstained from the voting.
He also said he had informed this to his party chief N Chandrababu Naidu.
Explaining the situation, he said they understood that their vote would have no relevance as BSP had already announced its support to the Bill on FDI and Samajwadi Party members had already left the House. He said in this situation, he went out as he had appointment with his doctor.
Dismissing the allegations being leveled against him and two other MPs of his party, he said despite informing the party chief, they were now being isolated for doing so.
