Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Minister of state for Railways Surya Prakash Reddy today flagged off the new Secunderabad-Tirupati-Secunderabad bi-weekly Express service at Secunderabad Railway Station.
The train will run via Kacheguda, Kurnool, Dhone, Gooty, Dharmavaram, Piler and Pakala. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister complemented the South Central Railway for introducing the Train on the route of the earlier Meter Gauge on which Venkatadri Express used to run.
The new train will immensely benefit the people of Mahabubnagar, Anantapur and Chittoor districts, he said.
The Chief Minister assured total co-operation from the state government for sharing the cost of Railway Projects in the state.
Mr Surya Prakash Reddy said the Railways happens to be cheapest mode of transport meeting the public needs. He assured that steps would be taken to optimise the safety standards. He acknowledged Andhra Pradesh Government's co-operation in sharing the cost of Railway projects in the state.
