Elections for cooperative bodies from Jan 31

Andhra Pradesh Government will hold elections for Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACCs) on January 31 and February 4, District Cooperative Central Banks (DCCBs) on February 13 and APCOB on February 22.
This decision was taken after review meeting with all the District Cooperative Officers (DCOs) on December 5 wherein several issues pertaining to conduct of free, fair and impartial elections were raised by the DCOs.
They have requested for further flexibility in the poll schedule, especially in view of the two major festivals falling in the months of December and January and other administrative grounds, Commissioner for Cooperation and Registrar of Cooperative Societies S Sri Naresh said in a release here today.
