The political scenario in Karnataka will see a dramatic churn with the massive convention of the fledgling Karnataka Janata Paksha, whose leadership mantle will be taken over by former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa, here tomorrow.
The ruling BJP is likely to be crippled and to what extent the damage has been caused will be known only after the 2013 Assembly elections.
Knowing well that regional parties in the past have not made any dent in the state polity, Mr Yeddyurappa had taken the daring move stating that the time was now ripe for a regional party to emerge and play a dominant role, especially when the national parties have weakened and depend much on the coalition with regional outfits which call shots in the UPA government.
