Army holds seminar on career aspects for Jammu Kashmir unemployed youth
Army today organised a seminar on career aspects to aware unemployed youth of remote belts of Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
"The Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Uniform) today organised an awareness seminar on 'Career Aspects for Unemployed Youth at village Mangla in district Reasi," Jammu based officiating PRO, Ministry of Defence, S N Acharya in a statement issued here said.
Mr Acharya said the aim of the programme was to make youth aware about various competitive exams and get employment in Central and State Government services.
"About 22 youths from the village Mangla and adjoining localities attended the seminar," the PRO said.
He said on requests of teachers and villagers, a seminar was organised for unemployed youths on career aspects.
"The youths were briefed about various employment prospects in Central and State Governments in the seminar besides self-employment in small and medium enterprises like Gem Cutting and Polishing, Leather Products, Novelties, Soap and Detergents, Food and Fruit processing industries, Glass and Ceramics, Tool and Die making, Welding, Sheet Metal and Electroplating," he added.
The seminar motivated the youth to get their livelihood and avoid them from getting trapped by anti national elements.
