The trial court today rejected the plea of prosection in the graft case registered against former Union Minister Virbhadra Singh and his wife Pratibha Singh on the basis of telephonic conversation recorded in audio cassettee 23-years ago.
The court of Special Judge B L Soni today pronounced order on the two separate plea made by the prosecution seeking amedment in the charge sheet to introduce some more allegations aganist Mr Singh.
'Prosectuion wanted to amend charge sheet under article 216 of CRPC that two more additional charges should be inlcuded in it that Pritbha Singh (wife of Mr Singh) had received Rs 3 lakh from Ambuja Gujarat Cement and Rs 2 lakh from Mohan Maikan Ltd on behalf of Mr Singh to clear industrial projects in favour of both firms.' Special prosecutor Jiwan Lal told UNI.
Rejecting the plea, the court said there is no need to introduce the charge in it as similar charges have already been included in the charge sheet.
