Brazil's Dunga welcomes Scolari, Parreira's appointments
Former Brazil captain and World Cup winner Dunga Friday welcomed Luiz Felipe Scolari and Carlos Alberto Parreira's appointments as coach and technical assistant of his country's football team.
"I welcome their appointments. Both of them are greats. Scolari is the perfect choice for the coach's job. He will guide Brazil to ultimate success," Dunga said hours after his arrival in Kolkata to take part in a veterans' exhibition match featuring Brazilian Masters and All Stars XI Saturday at the Salt Lake stadium.
Dunga was the stand-in skipper when Brazil emerged champions in the 1994 World cup.
Another Brazilian star, Juninho, said Scolari will be the real coach and look after the team while Parreira would be in charge of the arrangements.
