HKS to start drive to enroll new farmers
Himachal Pradesh Kissan Sabha, a left wing farmer union, has decided to start a drive to enroll new member taking target to increase its farmer membership base by 10,000 in the state.
Speaking at the meeting of HKS held here today, State president Kuldeep Singh Tanwar said that organsation would expand its membership in new 45 gram panchacyat to increase its farmer member ship by 10,000 from the existing 4,000.
He expressed concern over the persistent problem of wild animal causing extensive damage to the farmer to their standing crop and negligent attitude of the concern authority to control the menace.
He assured the members that Kissan Sabha would continue its struggle to press the issues of Timber distribution rights(TD) and wild animal menace more forcefully so that farmers could be get respite.
