Andhra Pradesh CM sanctions Rs 1 cr for Kakatiya festival

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today sanctioned Rs one crore for the 3-day Kakatiya festival slated to be held from December 21.
At a review meeting here, the Chief Minister said a Kakatiya International Convention Centre will be constructed at a suitable place in Warangal on PPP mode in commemoration of the auspicious occasion of the Kakatiya Festival 2012-2013, an official release here said.
He said the festival would be celebrated in a grand manner befitting the Kakatiyas' rich cultural heritage. It will be a one year long festival.
The year 2012-13 marks 800 years of the historic Ramappa temple and also 750 years of the coronation of Rani Rudrama Devi of the Kakatiya regime.
