World Bank Sustainable Development South East Asia Senior Transport Economist Simon Ellys today said if the Kerala government submits projects, it would assist it in the construction of the proposed high speed railway corridor project in the state.
Talking to media after participating in a technical session in the Infrastructure Conference-2012 here, he said such plans should be purely based on Kerala model and also suitable to the state.
Stating that for the smooth implementation of such projects, various methods, including from BoT to PPP should be effectively blended, he stressed the need for ensuring quality in construction, pointing out the dilapidated condition of the roads in the state.
Before finalising a project, there should be a clearcut vision about it, then only the further steps in this regard could be able to materialise, he said, adding our ideas should be on how to create better result with our limited resources.
