National Competition Policy to be finalised soon: Pilot

The National Competition Policy will be finalised shortly, with a broad agreement on the proposals having been achieved, the Lok Sabha was informed today.
In a written reply, Minister of State for Corporate Affairs Sachin Pilot said the Government had also invited comments and initiated consultations with various sections of the society and stakeholders in the industry law firms, researchers, economists and and incorporated their response.
He said the aim of the policy was to make the culture of competition as an intrinsic part of governance at each tier of Administration.
The state governments were broadly in agreement with the proposed policy, Mr Pilot said.
