Kamasutra launches energy drink
Kamasutra (KS), a brand from Raymond and JK Ansell joint venture, today launched an energy drink 'KS-E Drink'.
Stepping into the Rs 200 crore energy drink market, JK Ansell has entered into competitive product category after deodorants and condoms. Available in two flavours X-fruit, a mixed fruit falvoor and X-berry, is a mixed berry flavour.
The KS E drink has been created to adddress the taste of adventurous and energetic urban young, with tag line 'get the KSenergy'.
Gautam Singhania, Chairman, Raymond Ltd, said 'The KS brand was entered into the deodorants category in 2008 and has seen tremendous growth in past 5 years, energy drink is a newest addition to our KS product portfolio and thus becomes a natural extention of KS brand'.
KS energy drink will be launched across metro cities over next six months, and will be available across retail outlets at the price of Rs 95 for 250ml.
Ranju Kumar Mohan, Director and Business Head, JK Ansell, said 'The energy drink business is a new diversification for our company, we expect energy drinks to become a significant line of business contributing to the company revenues in next few years'.
