India dismissed at 316, England 22/0 at Lunch

England restricted India to 316 and went into lunch at 22/0 on the second day of the third Test at the Eden Gardens here today.

The visiting side took just one hour in the morning session to clean off the Indian tail. Monty Pasensar continued to bamboozle the Indian batsmen and picked up two of the reaming three home wicket. The england tweaking ended with figure of four for 90.

M S Dhoni was the only Indian batsmen, who took on the the England tweaker. The Indian skipper smashed Panessar for two consecutive sixes. The later one powered Dhoni to a fighting half century. Besides the huge sixes, Dhoni struck five boundaries in 114-ball knock of 52.

The Egland opener-Nick Crompton and Alaister Cook--come out to bat in a positive frame of mind and saw off the hour before lunch without any damage.

The in-form England skipper was batting 17, while his partner remained unbeaten on 5.

Indian pacers--Zaheer Khan and Ishant Sharma--looked ineffective in comparasion their English counterparts. They failed to ge the swing in the ten combined overs that they bowled.
