Assembly to discuss issue of subsidy through banks: Kerala CM
Kerala Assembly will discuss the issue of providing various subsidies through banks.
Briefing on Cabinet decisions here, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said the issue would be discussed in the next Assembly session as the Opposition demanded a discussion on the issue in the House.
With this decision, the Government plans to implement the scheme from January one was postponed, he added.
He also said the Public Distribution System (PDS) would be computerised as part of strengthening the system in a transparent manner.
One-member Commission would be constituted to look into various demands by ration dealers, he said.
The period of all the rank list by the PSC would be extended to another one-year, he added.
He also said a mechanism would be set up to look into the problems of teachers in unaided schools in the state.
