2 held: Maoist literature and live catridges seized

Police today arrested two youths, one of them son of Jana Adhikar Manch Convenor and Maoist interlocutor Dandapani Mohanty and seized over one hundred live catridges and Maoist publicity materials from their possession.

Ganjam Superintendnet of Police C S Meena said both Sangram Keshanri Mohanty and Kailash Mandal were arrested from Chandragiri area and being interrogated inside Mohana police station.

He said the two were carrying the live catridges for Maoists leader Sabya Sachi Panda.

However, Mr Dandapani Mohanty who acted as Maoists interlocutor for the release of former Malkangiri Collector R Vineel Krishna and two Italian tourists held hostage by the Red rebels said his son was picked up while on way to a garage on his bike around 1030 hours by some unknown persons and he could come to know about the incident almost after two hours.
