Maharashtra PWD Minister Chhagan Bhujbal has appealed to party workers to sink their differences and help develop the party in view of the 2014 elections.

"Party office bearers, who could not deliver, would be removed from their posts", he said during a Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) meeting here yesterday.

Bhujbal reviewed the recent elections in the district and said NCP took lead in 113 out of 145 grampanchayats and got good success in Igatpuri Municipal Council (IMC).

In future, NCP and Congress would contest elections jointly, he said.

He said if anyone was trying to sow the evil of casteism, stop him. Caste does not make anyone great, he said and hinted that a state-level women's convention would be held in Nashik soon.

Senior NCP leaders, MLAs, Panchayat Samiti members, sarpanchas, councillors and office bearers attended the meeting.
