Rainfall occurs few places over Karnataka

Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at a few places over South Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Coastal Karnataka and dry weather prevailed over North Interior Karnataka.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Bandipura 3; Maddur, Malur, Srinivaspura, Rayalpadu, Bangarpet, Bangalore City, Bangalore HAL AP, Hoskote, Ramanagara, Channapatna, Kanakapura 2 each; Madikeri, Kushalnagara, Ponnampet, Madapura, Periyapatna, Mysore, Honakere, Basaralu, Malavalli, Kolar, Mulbagal, Hesaraghatta, TG Halli, Anekal, GKVK, Yelahanka IAF, Chintamani 1 each.

Minimum temperatures rose at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and changed little over Interior Karnataka. They were appreciably above normal at most places over Coastal Karnataka; appreciably above normal at many places over North Interior Karnataka and above normal at most places being appreciably so at many places over South Interior Karnataka.

Dharwad has recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 16.8 degree Celsius in the plains of the State.

Forecast valid until Friday morning: Rain/thundershowers would occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather would prevail over North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain would occur at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather would prevail over all the districts of North Interior Karnataka.

Forecast for Bengaluru: Partly cloudy sky. One or two spells of rain would occur in some areas. Minimum temperature would be around 18 degree Celsius.
