Kabaddi India is now envisaging constituting International Kabaddi Committee on the lines of other internationally acclaimed games keeping in view the success of three editions of World Cup.
This was stated by Mr Sikander Singh Maluka, Senior Vice Chairman of World Cup and President of Punjab Kabaddi Association.
He said that India had sought suggestions from other Kabbadi playing nations for the formation of the International Kabaddi Committee.
He said that other technical aspects like rules and regulations, code of ethics, gradation of coaches and umpires were also being worked upon by a technical sub group.
He said that to match the set international professional standard of other games, umpires from other nations had also been invited for umpiring in this World Cup Kabaddi.
Mr Maluka further said that Iran had responded to India's invitation and sent two umpires. These two Iranian umpires were doing umpiring in the 3rd World Cup Kabaddi 2012.
He said that once the International Kabaddi Committee was constituted, efforts would be initialed to train umpires and other technical staff on set procedural guidelines.
Mr Maluka reiterated India had openly announced to send Kabaddi coaches to any other nation who would ask for it.
He said that India has already provided a Kabaddi coach to Kenya who had trained Kenyan Kabaddi team which was playing this World Cup.
Refresher courses for the umpires and other technical staff would be conducted, he added.
