The Singapore based low cost carrier Tiger Airways today signed an exclusive travel agent distribution a alliance with Via.com South-East Asia s leading travel network with a leadership position in India.
Briefing reporters on the alliance, Mr Swaminathan, COO of Via.com and Mr Kaneswaran Avili, commercial Director of Tiger Airways said the partnership would extend the reach of Tiger Airways in India, a key market for the Singapore abased Airline.
Besides direct flights to Singapore, Tiger Airways provides great connectivity covering 50 destinations in 13 countries acoss Asia Pacific Mr Kaneswaran said.
To celebrate the partnership Tiger Airways was offering a special promotional fare of Rs 3,900 one way, all inclusive of taxes for travel period from February 1 to March 31,2013 he said.
Mr Kaneswaran said over the next 12 months Tiger Airways planned to start its operations to Singapore from Kolkate.
It is also looking to enhance its operations from the South and was looking for more distinctions, he added.
He said Tiger Airways currently has a 25 per cent market share from India for the destinations it operated. The load factor was around 80 per cent, he claimed.
