Precious metals down
The precious metals slipped further today, as Silver tumbled by Rs 430 to Rs 62,450 per kg and Gold fell by Rs 120 to Rs 31,090 per ten gm, owing to sluggish demand from industrial users alongwith negative trend in global markets.
In the opening session, Silver declined by Rs 515 per kg.
Later, it closed at Rs 62,450, sliding by Rs 430 per kg as compared to its previous close.
Gold went down by Rs 140 per ten gm in the opening session.
At the end of the day, standard and pure gold drifted lower by Rs 120 and Rs 115 per ten gm respectively.
Standard and pure gold finished at Rs 31,090 and Rs 31,230 per ten gm respectively.
The precious metals were weak in Asian markets too, where Gold edged down to USD 17.00 an ounce and Silver at USD 31.09 per ounce.
