BJP Kerala Unit President V Muralidharan today demanded a CBI inquiry into the controversial K T Jayakrishnan Master murder case.
Addressing a press conference here, he said though the Kerala Police reopened the case following political pressure, they could not fix the real preparators of the murder even after 13 years of the incident. This shows the failure of various investigation agencies of the state Police.
Reacting to the Government move to reopen the murder of former Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) state unit Vice-President K T Jayakrishnan Master in Kannur, he said that the Government should hand over the investigation to the CBI as Kerala Police failed to book the real culprits in the case.
He also alleged that the UDF government was not allowing the Kerala Police to book the real preparators in the murder of Marxist rebel and CMP leader T P Chandrasekharan.
The Home Department decided to reopen the case after receiving a legal opinion on disclosure made by one of the prime accused, T K Rajeesh, in the T P Chandrasekharan murder case.
He told police that he was with the gang, who murdered Jayakrishnan Master in a class room at East Mokeri Upper Primary School on December 1, 1999. Jayakrishnan was killed in front of the students in the class.
