Rajya Sabha adjourned over promotion quotas bill
New Delhi, Dec 4 (IANS)
The Rajya Sabha was disrupted Tuesday over differences on the bill for reservation in job promotions.
As soon as the house met at 11 a.m., Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) members were on their feet, demanding the passage of a constitutional amendment bill to provide reservation in job promotions.
Samajwadi Party (SP) MPs were, meanwhile, protesting against the bill.
Amid the din, the house was adjourned till noon.
