Veggie juice could help reverse diabetes symptoms
A British couple living in Spain have developed a vegetable juice based diet, which they claim can reverse the symptoms of type 2 diabetes within a few days.
Andrew and Carol West, who run a health retreat in Spain, claim that the type 2 diabetes - caused by the presence of too much sugar in the blood - can be cleansed by highly nutritious meals and juices, lots of water and gentle exercise, the Daily Express reported.
The couple were both overweight and suffering from poor health when they started researching the effects of diet on the human body seven years ago.
The couple tried having vegetable juice every morning for breakfast and within a month felt better and had lost weight, the paper said.
The couple started a clinic in a house they owned in Spain, offering a three-day detox package using juices every morning and three sessions with Carol.
"Research has shown that if diabetes sufferers change their diets, within a few days they will see a massive drop in blood sugar levels, Andrew said.
"We were suspicious of this at first until we saw it happen.
"People with high blood pressure and joint problems also see great results within a week," he said.
