BJP accuses Congress of degenerating Parliamentary institutions
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday alleged that no other party has ever in the democratic history of India breached Parliament and various parliamentary institutions like the ruling Congress Party.
Talking to reporters at a press conference here about Parliament logjam on the issue of foreign direct investment (FDI), senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh said that the government is not accepting the Opposition's genuine demands according to the constitution.
Reiterating their stand against FDI, Rajnath Singh said: "The BJP and the NDA are committed to not let the government allow FDI in multi-brand retail sector. Foreign money is not necessary for economic growth; we have enormous domestic resources and the government should utilize that in a proper manner."
Rajnath Singh denied rising speculation about the internal conflict and crisis within the BJP and said: Sometimes one or two person say something deferent than the party's stand; it does not mean that the party is in deep crisis. BJP is the only party, where vertical division has not taken place till now, while almost every other political party has been divided many times,"
Rajnath Singh is here to observe the election process of new president of the BJP's state unit starting from today with the filing of nomination papers.
Nomination papers will be filed in presence of former party president Rajnath Singh and national general secretary Narendra Singh Tomar.
