This is the first time Kerala is hosting this meeting in which about 200 delegates, including four women State Leaders-- Kamaruneesa Anwar, General Secretary Noorbina Rasheed, State Women Commission Member Suhara Mampad and State Women's Development Corporation Member P Kulsu were attending.

While the national executive meeting began today, the national council meeting will be held tomorrow where new office-bearers would be elected and discussions held on political situation and problems facing the community, party sources said.

Union Minister and National President of IUML E Ahamed, Prof K M Khader Mohideen, Abdul Samad Samadani, MLA and the current office-bearers are attending the meeting.

Leaders from Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Maharashtra, New Delhil, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Bihar are also in attendence.

The National Council Meeting was held following an order of Supreme Court.
