Minister for Urban affairs, Manjalamkuzhi Ali has said that Kudumbasree in the state is not an individual property of any political leaders or political parties and it is the property of the state.
Addressing a gathering while inaugurating the Kannur Municipality Kudumbasree's 14th anniversary of Community Development Society (CDS) at Navaneetham Auditorium here today, Mr Ali said Kudumbasree units in the state were developed with the support of all people without looking into political backgrounds.
In Kerala Kudumbasree is developed with an aim to work for poverty alleviation and women empowerment.
Both were successfully completed and beacome a role model for the world for women empowerment.
He said the dumping of waste was a problem faced all over the state.
However, the issue of waste dumping in Kannur District would be settled within eight months by constructing plants.
A total of 24 tenders were received for setting plant in Kannur and shortlisted one tender and the foundation stone for the plant would be laid by the end of December.
