The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has dismissed a news report which stated that the board has allowed banned pace bowler Mohammad Amir to use its training facilities at the National Cricket Academy and that it has appealed to the ICC to reduce the ban on Amir.

The news report had claimed that the board contacted ICC to get Amir's ban reduced so that the pacer could be included in the squad for the forthcoming tour of South Africa, reports The News.

"The news item is totally incorrect and is based on wrong intentions. The PCB is following all ICC instructions, and there is no question of allowing Amir the use of official facility until he serves the ban or it is removed. The PCB has also not contacted to ICC on this issue," said PCB spokesman Nadeem Sarwar.
