The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting held in the Assembly premises today decided to convene a three-day special session on SC/St sub-plan Bill from tomorrow, instead of the two-day session announced earlier by Andhra Pradesh government.
The BMC which finalised the agenda for the session, decided that the sub-plan Bill would be introduced on the first day followed by dicussions on it on the next two days.
Meanwhile, the BAC also announced that thet winter session of the Assembly will be held from December 10 to 21.
Following the request of the opposition party leaders the special session was being extended by a day, Government Chief whip told reporters.
Meanwhile, Primary Education Minister Sailajanadh urged all parties to support the Bill as the measure would benefit the weaker sections.
TRS leader Etala Rajender and CPI(M) leader J.Ranga Reddy said they would support the Bill.
The winter sessions that is to follow from December 10, will be a stormy one. The Kiran Kumar Reddy government is bracing itself up to take on the opposition which is likely to pull up the government for its failures on sevel fronts.
