The ACB Special Court today adjourned the next hearing in the cash-for-bail case of former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy to December 12.
The Police produced mining baron Gali Janardhana Reddy in the court in connection with the cases today. The other accused in the case also appeared before the court.
The accused include suspended judge T Pattabhi Rama Rao, retired judge TV Chalapati Rao, Bellary MLA Somasekhara Reddy, Yadigiri Rao, Pattabhi's son Ravi Chandra and Gali's relative Dasarath Rami Reddy. They are facing charges of arranging bail for mining baron Janardhan Reddy for a paying bribe to Ramarao in the Obulapuram Mining Company illegal iron-ore mining case which the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is probing.
It may be mentioned that all the accused including Gali, have been granted bail in the case. However, since Gali is the main accused in the Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) case and is to get bail, he is currently lodged in the Chanchalguda Central Prison.
