BCCI today appointed Ashish Bhowmick of the Tripura Cricket Association, who is also a member of the BCCI's Pitches Committee, to work with veteran curator Prabir Mukherjee in preparing the Eden Gradens' surface for the third Test against England, comencing from December 5.
The move came after Mukherjee, who has prepared 14 tests pitches so far, reportedly refused to give in to M S Dhoni demand of preparing turing track of the Eden Test.
According to reports the had asked Daljit Singh, Chairman, Ground and Pitches Committee, BCCI to give it in writting his demand of preparing rank turner, when Singh was on a visit to the historical ground on Sunday.
Dhoni had asked for a rank turner for Mumbai Test, which India lost by ten wicket. He had voiced similar demand for Eden during post match confernece after that second test.
