The Nargis Dutt Memorial Charitable Trust (India) has tied up with Healing Little Hearts (UK), to help financially needy families with Pediatric Congenital Heart Problems in India, a statement here said today.
Healing Little Hearts (HLH) is a UK-based registered charity which was set up to make a significant contribution towards paucity of healthcare in India, for children with correctable congenital heart defects.
Nargis Dutt Memorial Charitable Trust (NDMCT) is a non-profit organization that works persistently in the areas of cancer and medical healthcare, education, and awareness campaigns in India. The main aim of the collaboration is to provide timely aid, to babies and children with correctable heart defects, so that no lives are lost due to lack of funds and expertise, Ms Priya Dutt, MP, said in the statement. HLH (UK) will send a team of international doctors and nurses every two months to the Metropolis to perform low cost heart surgeries on children. NDMCT's role will be to identify needy patients, raise necessary funds, and create awareness about congenital heart defects through screening camps, she added
