TTD organises Astottara Shata Kundatmaka Maha Santhi Yagam

Praying for peace and prosperity across the world, Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) organised Astottara Shata Kundatmaka Maha Shanti Yagam at Srinivasa Mangapuram near here today.

Addressing mediapersons at Srinivasa Mangapuram temple premises where the ceremonious Yagam has been conducted, TTD Executive Officer L V Subramanyam said, this yagam has been performed between 0900 to 1330 hrs by arranging 108 homa kundams amidst the chanting of vedic hymns by 150 vedic pundits hailing from Tamil Nadu, Karantaka apart from Andhra Pradesh.

They recited Sri Mahavishnu Mantra, Varuna Gayatri Mantra, Shanti Mantra, Navagraha Mantra, Paramtmika Upanishd Mantra and performed the yaga with utmost devotion. "Last year we received good rains after performing this yagya. This year we are fortunate enough to have this yaga being performed on this auspicious day of Karthika Pournima," he added.

Later, the EO released Paramatmika Tatva Deepika book. TTD Agama Advisor Dr Vedantam Vishnu Bhattacharya, Local temples deputy EO Reddemma and other temple staff were also present.
