Haryana police busted gang involved in oil theft
Haryana Police has nabbed a gang involved in theft of oil from a pipeline laid between Rawal Mandi, Bathinda and Bahadurgarh from village Sundarpur in district Rohtak.
Stating this today, a police department spokesman said that the police arrested four members of this gang and during interrogation they admitted theft of thousands of litres of oil from this pipeline.
Police recovered a tractor, a tanker, a country made pistol and four live cartridges from their possession, he added.
He said that the accused were produced in the court which sent them on two days police remand.
He said that the police got secret information that some people were stealing oil from the pipeline passing through village Titoli and Jindran of district Rohtak.
Acting swiftly, the police reached village Sundarpur and arrested them with an oil tanker containing about 2000 litres of oil. After that the police reached village Titoli where the accused had installed valve in the pipeline to steal oil and arrested them.
The accused were identified as Ashok, a resident of village Titoli, Jasbir alias Vinod, a resident of village Ismaila, Tinku, a resident of village Singhpura and Sonu, a resident of village Karantha.
