Fugitive Bangladeshi don Subrata Bayen, who was arrested from central Kolkata last evening, was today remanded to police custody by a city sessions court, sources said.
Bayen was produced before the court during the day and was remanded to the custody till December 10.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh government wanted to know 'more information' about the criminal post-interrogation, the sources said.
The Bangladesh High Commission here also contacted the city police in this regard, the sources added.
Bayen, who was on the run after breaking of a Nepal prison on November 8, was nabbed from a hideout in Bowbazar by the Special Task Force (STF).
He is the main accused in the grenade attack targeting Sheikh Hasina in Dhaka in 2004, where 24 people died.
Fake Indian currency notes with denomination over Rs 11 lakh, some Nepali currency and a firearm were recovered from him.
