Kerala Congress (B) Chairman, R Balakrishna Pillai today reiterated that there was no relationship between Kerala Congress (B) and Sports Minister Ganesh Kumar for the last 18 months and Chief Minister Oommen Chandy should confirm whether Mr Kumar was the minister representing Kerala Congress.
Talking to newsmen on the sidelines of a function here, Mr Balakrishna Pillai alleged that the Chief Minister has been protecting Mr Kumar due to 'shortage of MLAs' from Kerala Congress (B).
He said there is no section of Kerala Congress led by Mr Kumar and all were the activists of Kerala congress (B).
To a question, about the blocking of Balakrishna Pillai by some activists of Kerala congress (B), Mr Balakrishnan said nobody has any power to obstruct him and no one would try to do so.
He said Kerala Congress (B) would protest strongly against the price hike of essential commodities in Kerala and the party would recognise only the common minimum programme of UDF.
He also said if the Congress led UDF would not accept FDI in the state, Kerala Congress (B) would continue to support the protests by the people.
