Infrastructure provider Abu Dhabi Systems Integration (ADSI) today announced that it has signed an MoU worth 25 million euros with SELEX Sistemi Integrati, a Rome-based electronics manufacturing company, for the provision of software, engineering and system integration activities in the Gulf Cooperation Council.
The MOU identifies ten projects for a total value of 25 million euros, where SELEX Sistemi Integrati will involve ADSI.
The projects span from the sector of air traffic control to air defense and vessel traffic control, ADSI said in a statement.
The MOU was signed by the ADSI Chairman Abdullah Al Darmaki, and SELEX Sistemi Integrati Director General Lorenzo Mariani.
"This MOU will widen the area of support that ADSI is already providing to SELEX Sistemi Integrati in the UAE in the field of Combat System Integration," Mr Mariani said.
'With a senior management composed by more than 50 per cent Emirati managers, a staff of 50 engineers and technicians, and a growing rate above 15 per cent every year, I trust ADSI is the ideal environment for incubating the new generation of Emirati managers and engineers in the field of systems integration,' Mr Darmaki said.
According to MoU after the successful involvement in Ghannatha and Baynunah Programs, ADSI will be called to support SELEX for the newly developed vessels that will be delivered shortly to the UAE Navy and SELEX will subcontract to ADSI the on-site support activities of the Surveillance Radar System at Kuwait International Airport, Mr Mariani added.
"This is an important step in the company growth and shows that the shareholders acknowledge the quality of the work performed by ADSI and are willing to rely even more on ADSI in the future,' Mr Barbagelata said.
