Stars glitter at Anandalok Puroshkar 2012

Bengali magazine Anandalok hosted Bengali entertainment industry's popular award show Anandalok Puroshkar 2012 on Tuesday in Kolkata.

Bengali film, television and music fraternities were present to add to the glamour quotient, along with a full house audience cheering to the winners.

Tollywood glitterati also showed off their best as they walked the Red Carpet of the Anandolok Puroshkar.

The winners in various categories were selected by popular choice in the form of voting.

Actor-comedian Mir and RJ Nilanjana were the hosts for the evening who kept the audience engrossed with their wit and lively banter.

The film 'Bhooter Bhobishyot' had a winning innings this year. It bagged 5 awards - Best Director (Aneek Dutta), Best Supporting Actor Female (Mumtaz Sorkar), Best Supporting Actor Male (Saswata Chatterjee), Best Actor Female (Swastika Mukherjee) and Best Music Director (Raja Narayan Deb).

The Best Film award went to 'Muktadhara', while its lead actor Nigel Akkara received Best Debut award.

Parambrata received the Best Actor Male award for the film 'Hemlock society' and the song 'Ekhon onek raat' by Anupam Roy bagged the Best Song award.

Mega serial 'Isti Kutum' famed character 'Baha' or Ronita Das received a Special Jury Award while the Best Serial Award went to 'Bodhu Kon Alo Laglo Chokhe' on Star Jalsha.

The audience was treated this year to the rocking performances by Koel Mallick and Ankush, who danced to the popular numbers from their films and evergreen disco songs.

Singer Aupam Roy and his band also enthralled the house with his hit tracks from the films and solo album 'Durbeen- e Chokh Rakhbo Na'.
