Injured French footballer Yohan Cabaye may not be able to play again until February, Newcastle's manager Alan Pardew has said.
Cabaye was included in France's squad for a friendly international against Italy in Parma Nov 14, but failed to play the match due to a groin injury, reports Xinhua.
Cabaye had an operation in Paris Monday and is set to undergo further surgeries on his groin.
The midfielder joined Newcastle in 2011 after helping Lille claim the French Ligue 1 league title as well as the cup title. The 26-year-old has scored six goals for the English Premier League outfit in 44 appearances.
Newcastle has collected 14 points with three wins, five draws and five defeats so far this season and ranks 14th on the league table, only four points clear from the relegation zone.
